Welcome to Christ Episcopal Church.  We have a rich history as a parish, but even more importantly, a vision for our future.  We are there for each other in times of joy and in times of sorrow.  We respect and revel in the fact that we are all different members of the body of Christ, with various skills, strengths and talents.  And we love to laugh.

We are currently searching for a new rector to join our ministry.  We have great faith our ministry will thrive, because we are more than a small midwestern church: we are a family.

Services and Events

Saturday 5 p.m. evening service

Weekly Saturday mass is casual and intimate, usually with no music. Our regular celebrant for Saturday evenings is Fr. Mike Dwyer, the rector from Morris' St. Thomas Church.  (Note: there are no Saturday services on April 4 and April 11.)

Sunday morning, 9:30 a.m.

Traditional service, usually Rite II, with organ music.  Join us at either weekly service (or both!)

Ash Wednesday service

Noon, February 26.  Fr. Mike Dwyer will begin our Lent with a service and distribute ashes.

Lenten Learning Series

Weekly on Saturdays at 4 p.m., February 29 through March 28.  Come join Fr. Mike for one or all these sessions. Come learn about our faith, bring a question or just enjoy a laugh. Sip something good, nosh on a light snack and revel in warm company. Lenten service to follow at 5 pm for those who wish to stay.

Palm Sunday

April 5, 9:30 a.m.  Bishop Jeff Lee will celebrate Palm Sunday with us! Please come celebrate Eucharist, congratulate Bishop Lee on his upcoming retirement, and join us afterwards for refreshments & conversation.

Easter Sunday

April 12, 9:30 a.m.  Fr. Bill McLemore, our cartooning artist, will bring on our Easter joy!
