We resumed in-person worship in July. While our community and nation continue to experience the effects of COVID-19, our worship will be tailored to make in-person worship as safe as possible. We're wearing masks, social-distancing and our exchange of peace is limited to waves & smiles (underneath those masks.)
For those who wish to continue to worship remotely, we are zooming our 5 p.m. Saturday services and welcome to zoom St. Thomas' service in Morris on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. Also, the Mission of St. Clare has daily readings, prayers and hymns online: https://www.missionstclare.com/english/
Our priest-in-charge, Fr. Mike Dwyer would be glad to meet with any of you individually or consult via phone.
Please continue to pray and take care of one another.
The Vestry
Weekly Saturday mass is casual and intimate. Our regular celebrant for Saturday evenings is Fr. Mike Dwyer, our priest-in-charge.
All creatures great and small are invited to join Christ Episcopal Church for the Annual Blessing of the pets on Saturday, October 3 at 4:30 pm. The blessing will take place in front of the church, across from Washington Park in downtown Ottawa. All participating animals will be individually blessed by Fr. Mike Dwyer. The annual blessing of the pets is offered free of charge each year in the month of October in commemoration of St. Francis of Assisi and his love for all animals.
Please be sure to have your animal(s) contained or restrained for safety. Please also wear a mask and maintain social distancing to keep pet parents safe. Participating pets will receive a special pet blessing tag to sport on their collars or cages.
For those interested, a 5:00 pm church service will follow inside the historic church for well-behaved pets and their parents regardless of denomination or religious affiliation.
